2025: The Year of Smarter EV Charging for the UK! ⚡️ CTEK and Daniel Forsberg, Marketing Manager for EVSE, had the privilege of speaking with The Professional Electrician & Installer about 2024 and sharing insights on EV trends for 2025. Here’s what we discussed: ▪️Significant numbers of public chargepoints were added to the UK network in 2024, with many more in the pipeline. ▪️Many public chargepoints now offer contactless payment, 99% reliability (for 50kW+ chargepoints), and a free 24/7 helpline. ▪️The UK is on track to meet the Government's goal of 300,000 public chargepoints by 2030. ▪️In 2025, over 200,000 new public chargepoints are expected to go live! ▪️Future-ready standards like ISO 15118 and CTEK’s CC3 will enable Plug & Charge, as well as V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) and V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) innovations, revolutionizing how EV drivers interact with energy.
