A big thank you Charlotte Roberts and EasyPark Group for hosting the ‘The Future of Data Analytics.’ live podcast🎙️ It was a privilege to attend the discussion led by Jing Zhao (Head of Analytics, EasyPark Group), MohammadReza Babaee (Data Product Manager, Electrolux Group), and Anders Bresell (Head of Data, Telenor Connexion). The panel covered key topics such as: 1- How are organizations currently leveraging data analytics? 📊 2- What are the biggest challenges in the field today? 🛠️ 3- What key skills will define the future of data professionals? 🏅 4- How will AI transform the analytics landscape? 🤖 - One particularly thought-provoking discussion was about AI’s impact on jobs over the next five years. There were diverse opinions, ranging from minimal disruption to AI potentially taking over entire roles. My perspective sits in the middle: while AI will definitely change the way we work, I believe one data professional empowered with AI could replace 2 to 3 professionals without it. However, this only works when AI is backed by clean data and well-designed, easy-to-navigate models. - It was also fascinating to learn how organizations are addressing data sharing and privacy, from limiting data access to experienced teams to fully democratizing data for broader use. Personally, I believe a balanced approach to data sharing is likely the best path forward for many companies, though there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. - I had the chance to ask the panel about their definition of “Data Insights.” While many answers focused on “contextual analysis,” I shared my view that true insights arise from the intersection of internal organizational knowledge, external factors, and the data itself.
