🥳 We're excited to announce that CDE, flow2thrive and RISE Research Institutes of Sweden have been awarded a grant through the Swedish Metals & Minerals Innovation Programme, a joint venture of the Swedish Energy Agency, Formas and the Swedish Innovation Agency (Vinnova) to conduct a feasibility study for the development of a Sustainable Human Work Index (SHWI) and deep-tech platform. 🧠 The project marks a significant leap toward more sustainable, brain-health-centric workplaces in the Swedish Metals & Minerals Industry. Running from November 2024 through June 2025, the project represents a transformative shift for Sweden’s metals & minerals industry as it transitions from traditional physically demanding, to more cognitively demanding, tech-enabled roles and addresses the urgent need to prioritise brain health, mental wellbeing, and cognitive performance in workplace environments. 🧠 The project team will leverage the expertise of key stakeholders across the metal and minerals industry, academia, and deep/well-tech industries. Our model is based on the assumption that every factor that is included in the flow2thrive model and human sustainability index will contribute towards brain health and cognitive performance. It all started with the research project ''exercise for brain health'' and just evolved naturally from there.
