Smooth lifting for flow in the factory 🏗
When the door industry's heavy door turners needed to be renovated, a challenge arose. The turner was installed in a safety cage and the question was how to get it out without tearing down, rebuilding and disrupting production for a long time?
Martin Bexell at Bexells Maskinkonsult in Helsingborg, Sweden suggested a solution, invested in a Japanese Maeda MK1033 at Kranlyft Group in Göteborg and the door company's lifting went smoothly.
— As the picture shows, it is a small and compact crane that can both lift heavily and has a long reach. The crane has a jib, like an extra arm at the far end, and it allows you to reach up and into tight spaces. Without it, we would not have been able to lift the door-turner between the walls of the safety cage and the light fittings in the ceiling, says Martin.
The crane is narrow enough to fit through a normal doorway, it is operated with a remote control, has a lifting capacity of 0.995 tonnes and a lifting height of 11.3 m. Bexells Maskinkonsult has a large fleet of machines and rents them out to industries and machine rental companies in southern Sweden. That it should be easy to both transport and handle the machines is therefore important at all levels.
— The best thing about the MK1033 is that it is difficult to make mistakes, says Martin. It is so good that you can already see in the display how the lift should be done. If the crane is not positioned correctly or if the lifting angle is not correct, you get a red light and it is not possible to lift. In this factory they also have painted floors, but thanks to the crane's white caterpillar tracks, there were no marks at all. It is details like this that make both me and the customer happy, concludes Martin Bexell.
