I'm glad to represent IMT Atlantique / Laboratoire des Sciences du Numérique de Nantes (LS2N) and to collaborate with such a group of European researchers and industrial practitioners in the context of the AIDOaRt ECSEL project 🌍 For us, this has been the opportunity to conduct and publish new research on the application of #AI / #ML techniques in order to improve the support for #ModelBasedEngineering activities targeting large and complex #CyberPhysicalSystems. 🎉 Today, I had the honor of presenting our work at the 39th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Automated Software Engineering (ASE 2024) in Sacramento, USA! 📜 Our paper, titled “Towards Synthetic Trace Generation of Modeling Operations using In-Context Learning Approach,” is a collaborative effort with Claudio Di Sipio (University of L’Aquila), Riccardo Rubei (University of L’Aquila), Luca Berardinelli and MohammadHadi Dehghani (Johannes Kepler University Linz). We propose a conceptual framework designed to support automated activities within a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) context. Our approach utilizes modeling event recorders, intelligent modeling assistants, and large language models (LLMs) to generate synthetic traces through Few-Shot In-Context prompt engineering. The study’s findings reveal that LLMs can generate traces that emulate human-like operations, though there are some challenges in recommendation accuracy. This approach is particularly valuable when real training data are unavailable due to industrial privacy concerns or internal regulations. MATISSE made the MDU headline

The MATISSE project, involving GSSI and Gran SassoTech, was launched yesterday in the historic city of Västerås, Sweden. It will now begin a three-year international collaboration to develop a Digital Twins framework for the engineering and validation of industrial systems. MATISSE is funded by the European Commission through Horizon Research and Innovation Action funds and is implemented by an international public-private partnership that includes leading industries such as Leonardo SpA, Siemens AG, and Alstom SA, as well as research centers such as the French Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Genoa, and the RISE Research Institutes of Sweden. ℹ️ https://lnkd.in/dQjdXNtT #GSSI #research #digitaltwins

🚀 MATISSE Project Kick-Off Meeting Held in Sweden! The first official meeting of the MATISSE project, supported by Horizon Europe, successfully took place in Västerås, Sweden, on September 17-19, 2024. The foundations were laid for the work on early verification and validation of industrial systems using digital twins. Many thanks to Mälardalen University hosting us! Your support made meaningful collaborations and great discussions possible. 💼✨ 📍 Türkiye’s Consortium Was Present at the Kick-Off: Representing Türkiye, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Yayan and Dr. Kübra YAYAN from Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi , as well as representatives from OTOKAR Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi A.Ş. and DEFTR , participated in the event. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Yayan, as the leader of the Türkiye Consortium and the Project Coordinator at Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi , shared their important roles in the project and the contributions they will make to the overall effort. During the meeting, project partners received detailed briefings on both technical and administrative processes. Additionally, valuable discussions were held on work packages, tasks, and collaboration processes within the project.
