A new CEO has been appointed at GLEIF, the foundation that oversees the LEI system. Alexandre Kech will join GLEIF as co-CEO starting May 1, 2024. We sincerely thank Stephan Wolf, GLEIF's inaugural CEO, for his visionary leadership since 2014.

Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) announced plans to create a fully digitized LEI service capable of instant and automated identity verification between counterparties in 2020. The result is the Verifiable Legal Entity Identifier or vLEI for short.
