  • 👋 Say hello to Neo4j, who are not only the category creators and market leaders in graph database technology, they are also long time partners and friends of Pink Programming! With our combined passion for diversity in tech, we have jointly created safe spaces for hundreds of women and non-binary people to explore, get inspired and feel supported in their tech-journey.   “We work with Pink Programming because we want to support a more gender equal tech industry. It’s our goal within Neo4j to promote an open, diverse, and positive company culture. One of our company values is to “... thrive in a culture that is open and inclusive” and so supporting Pink Programming is to truly live this value. The collaboration also ensures our employees have the opportunity to provide hands-on support for the ‘diversity in tech’ initiative, by helping to organize various events for female and non-binary developers together with Pink Programming.” - Marie Gaillard, Senior Director of Engineering at Neo4j.   We are proud to announce that this partnership will continue in 2025. And now let’s take a trip down memory lane - throughout the years with Neo4j!   Does your company want to join us in our mission for a more diverse tech-industry? https://lnkd.in/e6w7zeqz

  • Did you know that Electronic Arts (EA) has 14,000 people working globally, with 700 based in Sweden? Last week, we had the incredible opportunity to meet some of these talented professionals and dive into their world of gaming and technology. To top it off, everyone enjoyed some delicious pizza while mingling, networking, and soaking up inspiration.🍕 The evening showcased a dynamic panel featuring three inspiring developers: Anna Norrevik, Kiia Raikunen, and Emma Wahrenberg, who shared their unique career journeys, the challenges they've faced, and the diverse skills that have propelled them forward in the gaming industry. A key takeaway from the event? “Success in gaming isn’t just about coding or design – it’s also about communication and respecting others’ schedules to ensure smooth collaboration, especially in a multi-national company working across different time zones!” The energy in the room was electric, and we’re grateful to everyone who joined us for such an insightful and enjoyable evening! 💫

  • Heard of the Pink way of celebrating the First Sunday of Advent?🕯️ Last Sunday we entered the winter season with juicy saffron bread and fresh fruits as we delved into the world of microcontrollers. Rosa’s thought-provoking session showed us how one line of code can change the world, challenging our view on technology, its risks, and our shared responsibility to shape a secure and ethical future. In an engaging workshop led by Silvia, we explored Adafruit’s Circuit Playground Express, building fun projects such as control sensors, buttons, speakers, and LEDs. Unlocking the power of hardware through Python, the session sparked our creativity and curiosity. Can you think of a better way to kick off the last month of the year? Take a look at the pictures and get a sneak peek at what we were up to! Before we wrap up this year, we have one more event for you–and this time, you can join from anywhere! Don’t miss our Digital (!!) Pink Sunday this weekend! https://lnkd.in/gZpDDCu9

  • Heard about the secret ingredient that turns good code into great code? The answer is spelled testing–something participants explored at our latest Pink Sunday with our new partner, Scionova AB. Energy was high as we built and tested a Flutter app–a Google-developed toolkit for creating cross-platform applications from a single codebase. Guided by Kelly Benets, a talented mobile developer at Scionova, participants successfully built a functional app and implemented a variety of testing methods–all in just a few hours! But the excitement didn’t stop there. We were honored to welcome Zara Zamani, a leading voice in blockchain and Web3, who shared her inspiring journey from Iran to Sweden. Zara encouraged us to break barriers in male-dominated industries and strive for impact. Her powerful story challenged us to lead the charge in the tech revolution, with her reminder: “Don’t wait for others to do it for you.” The atmosphere was electric, leaving participants motivated to continue their coding journeys.🌟 Want to join us one more time before the year ends? Don’t miss our final events for the season! https://lnkd.in/d3adMNUB
