The fight against Forced Labor in supply chains is back on the #wef25 #davos agenda this year. The task is to shape a collaboration among businesses and stakeholders that delivers measurable progress. One way to make more progress, more quickly, is to accelerate the adoption of initiatives that are already successful. In this article for the World Economic Forum I outline five (concise!) strategies for addressing forced labor, along with concrete examples. These aren't the only ways to move forward, of course. But they are proven approaches that deserve broader adoption. I focus on: ➡️ the practicality of engaging workers directly; ➡️ the well-known need to control recruitment through third parties; ➡️ the dramatic scaling that technology enables; ➡️ the obvious opportunity to share data. I also emphasize the importance of businesses committing to time-bound targets and milestones -- a familiar and effective strategy for driving progress.
