  • Every ending is a new beginning ✨ As the year comes to an end, so does the long tenure of Braathens at #StockholmBrommaAirport. Today, on the 30th of December the last flight with BRA takes to the skies over the capital from Stockholm Bromma. Ludvig Gustaf Braathen founded the Norwegian airline Braathens S.A.F.E, South American & Far East Airtransport, and the company Braganza in 1946. 50 years later, Braganza acquire the Swedish airlines Transswede Airways and Malmö Aviation. In 2011, the airline Sverigeflyg with the subsidiary companies Gotlandsflyg, Kullaflyg, Sundsvallsflyg, Blekingeflyg, Kalmarflyg och Fly Småland is acquired by Braganza and Braathens Aviation, making up the backbone of BRA, Braathens Regional Airlines which is founded in 2016. Since then, Stockholm Bromma Airport has been BRA's home, playing an important role in connecting Sweden and facilitate for people to meet, whether it is for business, leisure or to visit family and friends. But every end is the start of something new. As of the 1st of January, BRA will move to Stockholm Arlanda Airport where they will continue to fly charter to sunny shores, as well as teaming up with SAS in a new partnership to continuing to connect different parts of Sweden with the capital. Swedavia Airports is wishing you a warm welcome and Godspeed! ✈️ ( 📸: Swedavia & Max Johansson)

  • Early this morning, we got a call from someone named St Nic, He asked to land, said he’d do a turnaround real quick. “No need to worry” he said, “I won’t make a fuzz! The reindeers are well behaved, and my sleigh is the size of a bus” 🦌 We said, “Of course we’re happy to help” and cleared a runway, “Our airports are open all year round and certainly today!” So, we loaded a tanker full of hay and brought some food, We all do need a Santa that is in a good mood! 🎅 He came down in a cloud of snow and skid to a halt, “I’m sorry, can’t stay long before I need to bolt!” So, we started the turnaround with our usual efficiency All our staff the essence of proficiency! 👷 Before long Santa was fed and the reindeers loaded on hay, “Thank you so much” said he and flew away! Quick the sleigh was rising, almost like a balloon, And we heard a happy “I will see you again around noon!” ✨ Season’s greetings and happy holidays from the Swedavia Aviation Business Team at Swedavia AB ✈️✨🎄
