Last week, we celebrated World Quality Week, a great opportunity to reflect on why quality matters so much in our work at Advanced Marine. Whether it’s supplying genuine Kirby Morgan parts, conducting thorough inspections, or sticking to the highest standards in everything we do, quality is at the heart of how we ensure safety and reliability for our clients. We’ve shared more about this in our latest blog post, including some real examples of how we maintain these standards every day. Take a look and let us know your thoughts! . . . #worldqualityweek #worldqualityday #subsea #commercialdiving #kirbymorgan #inspection #safety #genuine #advancedmarine #quality

Our team recently conducted a pre-service evaluation for a client’s external Bell cylinders. The neck collars had not previously been removed from the cylinders, resulting in seawater / salt being trapped under the collars. We removed these collars to allow for a "through external" visual inspection as required under IMCA. Four of the cylinders presented significant external corrosion, especially around the threaded neck collar area. Once the rust was removed, we found significant pitting and crevice corrosion that had reduced the wall thickness around the neck area. The thinning, combined with other corrosion types, raised serious concerns about the remaining structural integrity. Given these findings, we recommended removing the affected cylinders from service. These evaluations ensure that only equipment meeting stringent safety standards stays in circulation, maintaining reliability and safety for critical diving operations. Operators should be aware that leaving neck collars on for cylinders taken underwater (Stage and Bell bottles) can lead to hidden accelerated corrosion, reducing the service life of the cylinders. . . . #cylinders #bailoutcylinder #corrosion #safety #cylinderinspection #commercialdiving #subsea #IMCA #AdvancedMarine

Bill Jordan, John Zwiers, and Neha Gupta from Advanced Marine Pte. Ltd. will be attending OSEA 2024 at Marina Bay Sands from 19th to 21st November. This year, we’ve chosen not to be an exhibitor, in order to focus on strategic projects and growth initiatives within the company. However, we're still eager to connect with industry partners, clients, and new contacts. If you'd like to meet up during the event, feel free to reach out to set up a time. Let's connect and discuss how we can support your upcoming projects.

It has been a productive and insightful week for Advanced Marine Pte. Ltd.. We began with the Commercial Diving Seminar, organized by CDAS and co-sponsored by Advanced Marine and others. One of the key moments was the presentation by Derrek and Lewis Beddows, who shared their experience with decompression illness (DCI) and the life changing long term effects. Their story served as a crucial reminder of the importance of stringent safety measures in our industry. The IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) Southeast Asia Regional Meeting at Marina Bay Sands followed, bringing together global industry leaders. Our partners at Analox Group gave a well-received presentation on the development of their gas analyzers and monitoring systems, highlighting their continued contribution to diver safety. They also introduced potential improvements in gas monitoring, including innovations in Heliox contamination detection and real-time monitoring. The week concluded with the IMCA Underwater Ship Husbandry Seminar, which featured several significant discussions. These included Alexis Chee overview of Singapore’s commercial diving safety journey, Simon Binsted of Subsea 7’s insights on safe diving operations, and Darren Koh, Senior Assistant Director from the Ministry of Manpower, who shared case studies on regulatory enforcement actions taken for non-compliance with Singapore’s commercial diving guidelines. We are proud to be able to attend and contribute to these important industry conversations and remain committed to making improvements in commercial diving. Thank you to all the speakers and participants for their valuable insights. . . . #CommercialDiving #Subsea #IMCA #Safety #Shiphusbandry #AdvancedMarine #CDAS Bill Jordan Emma Harbottle Alexander Clarke Neha Gupta Derek Beddows Lewis Beddows John Zwiers Alvin Cheong
