With projects becoming more complex and with multiple stakeholders involved, it is crucial to establish a standard for information management to organise the digital assets within the Common Data Environment (CDE). This helps to improve collaboration between stakeholders, and enables them to maximise the potential of harnessing and leveraging technology for better decision-making, including the use of building information modelling (BIM). To facilitate this, the National Annex of ISO 19650-2 has been developed as a Singapore Standard, to help industry professionals better understand the ISO standards in local terminology, and guide how information can be managed in a structured manner. The Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore is one of the early adopters that has started implementing these standards across multiple projects.
