This prestigious recognition reflects CIC’s commitment to deliver positive climate action with significant social impact. 🌎 Stewardship Asia Centre was established by Temasek Holdings in 2003 and is supported by various Temasek entities, including Temasek Trust and Temasek Foundation. SAC instituted SL25 as an annual program to recognise the Top 25 Steward Leaders in Asia Pacific who have created financially viable solutions for the environment and society. For the SL25 initiative, SAC has partnered with INSEAD, WTW, and The Straits Times. We are proud to be recognised for our Water and Climate Action projects, which provide safe drinking water to vulnerable communities through affordable, non-electric purification devices. Our initiatives align with 12 UN Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on health, gender equality, education, employment, and climate action. Impact Highlights: 🚰Over 200,000 people have gained improved access to safe drinking water. 👩More than 100 jobs have been created for members of the local community. 💦 These projects help purify over 300 million litres of purified water annually over the next 10 years. 🌱An estimated 1 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced over the next 10 years. ⏳ Around 200 million hours will be saved by families due to the reduction in time required to collect firewood and boiling water, over the next 10 years. 🔥Around 600,000 tonnes of fuelwood will likely be conserved over the next 10 years.
