Between October 28 and 30, the Embassy of Brazil in Singapore proudly represented Brazil at the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) for the third consecutive year. This premier Southeast Asian event brings together trailblazers and thought leaders from the global startup community. Nine Brazilian startups showcased their solutions at the Brazilian booth building connections with Singapore’s dynamic innovation ecosystem and exploring partnership opportunities in Asia. The Embassy extends its appreciation to EnterpriseSG - Latin America for hosting and partnering this exciting event, where Brazilian startups pitched their solutions to a panel of VCs (Infracrowd Capital Pte Ltd, SEEDS Capital, Temasek and Trendlines) and a high-level audience. On their second day of immersion, the Brazilian startups attended the IP Management Clinic at the World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO office in Singapore. After witnessing the signing ceremony of a new 5-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation between Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) and INPI Brasil - Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial , which will benefit innovators and businesses in both Brazil and Singapore, they participated in a workshop on IP Strategies for Business and Intellectual Asset Management. In the afternoon, the Brazilian startups visited the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), where they gained insights into the various initiatives the agency promotes to attract foreign companies from key sectors to Singapore. The 3rd Brazilian Startup Mission to Singapore has started! Nine innovative Brazilian companies have landed in Singapore and are participating in an immersion program in the Singaporean innovation ecosystem, organized by the Embassy of Brazil in Singapore in partnership with World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO On 22 October, the Embassy hosted the Go-to-Market seminar, in which the companies received key information on landing in Singapore from Start2 Group , SGTech, Rajah & Tann Asia and Xinterra The Brazilian startups also visited ACE.SG (Action Community for Entrepreneurship) and BLOCK71 Global and participated in a pitch session, where they received valuable insights and feedback from Neelesh Bhatia, Senior Associate Director at NUS Enterprise. They closed the day with a networking session with Singaporean startups and Brazilian entrepreneurs based in Singapore.
