#AI governance takes flight! Singapore has recently adopted ISO/IEC 42001 Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS) as a national standard and is among the first in the world to establish an accredited AIMS Certification Programme. Singapore Accreditation Council has accredited SGS to assess companies’ AI systems and practices under this programme, with Changi Airport Group being the first organisation to be certified. This is part of their efforts to enhance visitor experience and support more efficient airport operations. This milestone was made possible through a collaboration among Singapore Standards Council, Singapore Accreditation Council, SGS, Changi Airport Group, IMDA, together with industry stakeholders who gathered at our launch event yesterday. By enhancing AI governance and mitigating risks, the AIMS certification will enable more SMEs to build trust with stakeholders and boost global competitiveness.
