At 20, Nurul’s resilience shines. Growing up in a one-room rental flat, Nurul faced challenges no young person should have to endure. After losing her father at a young age, her mother became the sole breadwinner, working tirelessly to provide for Nurul and her brother. Despite their hardships, the family stayed resilient, determined to build a brighter future. Today, Nurul is building a brighter future for herself and dreams of paying it forward to others who face similar challenges. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧! 🌟 Volunteers at Filos Active Ageing Centre put together a joyous morning of festive Christmas celebrations for our elderly community members in Chai Chee. From lively sing-alongs to exhilarating performances of dance and Wushu, our community of elderly were thoroughly entertained. Each of our seniors also walked away with a goodie bag and some lucky ones even won themselves exclusive lucky draw prizes! We recently celebrated the hard work and achievements of our Filos staff during our Filos Townhall and R&R day! 🩷 It was a fruitful morning recollecting the past year at Filos within our various departments and looking forward to our 2025 plans. After reconnecting and recharging over lunch with our fellow colleagues, we headed off to a studio for a tufting session where we brought our ideas to life through a tufted design. The session was filled with laughter, teamwork, and picking up new skills, as everyone crafted their unique masterpieces. Our seniors from 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 stepped into the spirit of giving as senior volunteers at 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, bringing smiles and joy to all! 🎉 From facilitating a lively game of bingo to distributing tea-time snacks and thoughtful gifts, our seniors demonstrated that age is no barrier to making a difference. They even put together an engaging and lively sing-along session, filling the space with warmth and cheer.
