What are you looking forward to in the next evolution of quantum computing? Today Horizon’s team was at the #TNWconference, which can be dubbed as a festival of all things tech in Amsterdam. With 10,000 attendees, the sold-out 18th edition is already a success. Tomorrow the programme continues, with quantum computing set to occupy the main stage called Vision. Our Chief Scientist Dr Si-Hui Tan will be joining Dr Nicole Holzmann for a panel called “Quantum Leap: Accelerating Innovation Across Industries”, moderated by Quantum Delta NL’s Shahar Graf.

Singapore announced a $300 million investment in quantum technologies slated for the next five years. MONEY FM 89.3's Lynlee Foo invited our VP of Product Amanda Chew to share Horizon’s perspective as one of the key industry players today. They discussed the current state of quantum computing as it stands and the newly announced National Quantum Strategy aimed at bolstering the research and talent-building efforts for the quantum technology industry, propping the city-state up as a leading player in quantum technologies globally. "Is quantum computing closer than we think?" Syahida Othman from CNA interviewed our Chief Scientist Dr Si-Hui Tan at #ATxSummit, where the Singapore government announced investing 300M SGD (222M USD) in quantum technologies over the next 5 years. "In terms of how to make use of quantum computing to actually solve real-world problems, it's not just a question of building good quantum computers. We also need the algorithms to be able to tackle those problems. It turns out that coming up with quantum algorithms is extremely difficult.
