In a recent roundtable discussion organised by the PoultryTechBangladesh team, crucial insights were shared, revealing the dual narrative of growth and challenges in Bangladesh's poultry sector. While the industry has achieved an impressive CAGR of 8-10%, it continues to grapple with hurdles such as demand-supply imbalances, import dependency, and inadequate infrastructure. Climate change and biosecurity gaps further strain this vital sector, which is expected to see demand double by 2050. From regulating DOC production to promoting circular economy initiatives and securing international certifications, strategic interventions can enhance resilience and unlock export potential. Collaborative efforts through PPPs and investments in cold chain systems are crucial for ensuring long-term sustainability. PoultryTechBangladesh, a five-year project supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and jointly coordinated by Larive International and LightCastle, aims to strengthen business relations between stakeholders in the Dutch and Bangladeshi poultry value chains, fostering a more competitive and sustainable poultry sector in Bangladesh. Mohammed Jabbar , Managing Director of DBL Group, attended the national dissemination session co-hosted by LightCastle Partners in collaboration with Policy Exchange Bangladesh. During the discussion, he emphasised that investing in the value chain and Research and Development (R&D) will enhance Bangladesh's brand image, leading to better price negotiation for the RMG export basket. He highlighted the importance of a coalition of enablers, including policymakers and research institutions, to help factory owners and develop a robust plan for the RMG industry. 📊✨ Impact Measurement & Management (IMM) Booster Workshop Recap On November 26, 2024, B-Briddhi hosted its second IMM Booster Workshop in Dhaka, conducted in collaboration with Roots of Impact and LightCastle Partners. The workshop was delivered by Social Finance Academy – the impact intelligence and educational arm of Roots of Impact, and also the knowledge partner of B-Briddhi. This workshop was exclusively tailored for certified service providers who graduated from the 4th cohort of the Train-the-Trainer (TTT) program. Guided by Melanie Rodriguez Siow, the Impact Measurement & Management Trainer and Technical Assistance Portfolio Manager at Roots of Impact, the workshop focused on equipping participants with practical IMM skills.
