Policy Exchange Bangladesh, in collaboration with LightCastle Partners, hosted a Dialogue on Automation in the Apparel Industry on October 21, 2024, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and government stakeholders to discuss the impact and challenges of automation on Bangladesh’s apparel sector. This dialogue represents a vital step toward ensuring the Bangladesh apparel industry's sustainable growth and worker wellbeing amidst automation challenges. Under the Bunon 2030 initiative of the Oporajita project, the event was supported by The Asia Foundation and funded by the H&M Foundation.

➡️The percentage of women RMG workers has taken a downturn due to automation and social stigmas. Their goal is to equip changemakers with a holistic mindset, promoting solutions that benefit both people and the planet.   ➡️Since its launch in 2015, 46 innovations have received hands-on support and a combined grant of 8 million euros through the Global Change Award. Initially focused on increasing circularity, the initiative has since shifted to prioritizing planet-positive solutions.
