✨Only 2 days to go! 🗓️Mark your calendars, the deadline is November 9th! Changemakers, let’s decarbonize fashion! Do you have an idea addressing: ➡️ Sustainable materials and processes: What if the use of sustainable materials and processes were given? Here, we are for example looking for low energy materials and new and recycled fibers, sustainable energy practices, alternative wet processes, treatments and finishes and new construction techniques. ➡️ Responsible production: What if we could increase efficiency and cut the industry’s largest chunk of emissions? Here, we’re for example looking for solutions within renewable energy, energy efficiency, prediction modeling, traceability, on-demand, waste management and zero-waste. ➡️ Mindful consumption: What if we could challenge our current consumption habits and narrative for something radically different? Here, we’re for example looking for solutions on how to reshape demand, garment care, extending garment life cycles, recycling solutions, and circular business models ➡️ A wildcard that can accelerate the textile industry towards net zero: What are the solutions and drivers we haven’t even thought of yet? Or what solutions can amplify transformation within multiple areas? ➡️H&M Foundation's Innovation Challenge, the Global Change Award, aims to accelerate innovation to halve the textile industry's emissions every decade, working toward net zero by 2050. Their goal is to equip changemakers with a holistic mindset, promoting solutions that benefit both people and the planet. ➡️Since its launch in 2015, 46 innovations have received hands-on support and a combined grant of 8 million euros through the Global Change Award. Initially focused on increasing circularity, the initiative has since shifted to prioritizing planet-positive solutions. Now, it aims to tackle one of the industry's biggest challenges—decarbonization. ➡️The award Seeks early-stage changemakers, including researchers, nonprofits, policy advocates, innovators, and entrepreneurs, committed to advancing ideas for decarbonizing fashion and achieving a net-zero textile industry. ➡️To pivot towards a net-zero future every player in the fashion ecosystem must play their part. A giant transformation awaits, innovation is needed, and so are you! ➡️Apply here: https://lnkd.in/gvcf2SeU ➡️Last Day to Apply: 9th November, 2024 ➡️Learn more about the Global Change Awards: globalchangeaward.com #HMF #Global_Change_Awards #2024 #Change_Makers#Change #environment #sustainable #rmg #textile The Asia Foundation
