🔗 Designing a Stand, Bridging Cultures: Our Journey to CEATEC 🇯🇵 Japan 🔗 When you design a booth for one of the biggest tech exhibitions in Japan, you’re not just creating a space—you’re crafting a story. But this story came with its own set of challenges that pushed us to think bigger and smarter💡. The first hurdle? 🎯Space. Exhibition space is always at a premium, but in Japan, it's a whole new ballgame. We had to make every square meter count, ensuring we could communicate the full spectrum of Alarm.com’s innovations while working within tight constraints. Also, we had invited our WiFi sensing partner nami to join us at CEATEC Official this year🌊! Then, there was the cultural balance. 🎌Japan’s rich cultural norms meant we needed to minimize the “Western” stamp while still preserving our brand’s identity. That’s where the collaboration truly shined✨✨✨. We partnered with a local design team in Japan to help us create a visual experience that would attract the right attention—one that speaks to local visitors while staying true to our roots. Together, with our Japan team 🧠, we managed to build something that not only respects cultural and communication norms but also tells the story of who we are and where we’ve come from. Following joint development with CplusC, nami solutions supporting aging in place will soon be deployed in Ogimi, Japan, as part of Mimamori initiative.
