This transformative programme culminated in the inspiring Great Circle event. 🚢 What an inspiring session at the review panel for the PIER71™ Smart Port Challenge 2024! 🚀 It was an honour to present our innovation to such an esteemed panel, including Akanksha Batura Pai, Ian Ho, Indranil ‘Indy’ Sen, and teng seng teo. Their insights and feedback were incredibly valuable, and we’re excited to explore the ideas they shared to further refine our solution. Hearing diverse perspectives from experts who truly understand the intricacies of the maritime industry was enlightening. Their constructive feedback encouraged us to rethink certain aspects of our product. Notably, the panel’s suggestions on how to make better use of the data we’ve collected from over 150 vessels in our live app, and how to enhance both our online and offline presence through strategic marketing, really stood out. Later that evening, we had the opportunity to attend a fantastic networking session with key players in the maritime industry. We connected with investors, tech enthusiasts, and industry leaders, all passionate about shaping the future of maritime innovation. It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas and foster potential collaborations that could take our solution even further. 🚢 Mastering the Art of a Compelling Credentials Pitch! 🚀 We recently had the privilege of attending a workshop led by Hugh MASON as part of the PIER71™ Smart Port Challenge 2024. The session introduced us to a powerful framework that aligns with Simon Sinek’s principles from “Start with Why” and “Find Your Why.” This simple yet profound approach can make your pitch both compelling and memorable: start with WHY you do what you do, then explain HOW you do it, and finally, detail WHAT you offer. Here’s the framework we learned: Start with WHY: - I represent … (name) - We Help … (customer/user) - Achieve … (product/service benefit) Move to HOW: - Using … (tech or business model) End with WHAT: - Our products are … This structure helps us effectively communicate our purpose and value in the maritime industry. We’re eager to put these insights into action as we continue our journey in innovation!
