In 2020, the Sangha Music School was born, thanks to the generosity of Tom Bedel and C.F. Martin & Co - longtime partners of Olam Agri’s Wood Business, Congolaise Industrielle des Bois (CIB). Their donation of acoustic guitars wasn’t just about instruments; it was about unlocking the transformative power of music for the Pokola community. Today, the Sangha Music School is more than a music institution - it’s a sanctuary. It’s where individuals discover their voices, build a sense of purpose, and create inspiring connections that uplift the entire community. This initiative reflects our commitment to creating sustainable, positive impacts in the regions where we operate. 🎥 Watch the video to see how the joy of music is transforming lives in Pokola. https://lnkd.in/gnyFB8iN #OlamAgri #Sustainability #CommunityEmpowerment #MusicForChange Ashish Malik Vincent Istace

  • Through our Safe Water Project, we are taking significant strides to improve access to clean and safe drinking water in our farming communities across Nigeria. With the support of our donors, we have begun deploying GoFlow water purifiers across 12 communities in Kano, Jigawa, Nasarawa, and Kaduna States with unimproved water sources. Once fully deployed, this initiative will directly benefit over 43,000 people, creating lasting positive change. The impact of this project is already evident: ✔️ More time saved for women, who no longer have to travel long distances to fetch clean water. ✔️ Improved farmer incomes as healthier families can focus more on productive activities. ✔️ Reduced waterborne diseases, leading to better overall health and well-being. This festive season, our employees in Cameroon came together with generosity and compassion to support over 300 children in need from three orphanages through the second edition of our “End of Year Donation” drive. This initiative has touched lives by providing essential items such as clothing, school supplies, toys, daily necessities, and our very own flagship products like Riz Bijou and Bijou Mammy. As Briginette Abega, CHRP/CHRM, Country Human Resources at Olam Agri, shared: "This initiative is about more than just donations; it’s about planting seeds of hope and making a tangible difference in the lives of these children. Last year’s edition reached over 200 children in two orphanages and we are glad to be reaching many more this year". Mama Solange, a leader at one of the orphanage, expressed her heartfelt gratitude: “Your kindness ensures that our children feel loved and cared for this Christmas and beyond. We are deeply grateful to Olam Agri and its employees for their unwavering support". To all our employees who contributed - thank you for embodying the spirit of the season and making a difference.
