This is a home to over 120 abandoned and orphaned children, with some living with severe disabilities. 🧒🏡 On 17 December, 18 colleagues from PIL Logistics Vietnam brought along donations from the team for the young beneficiaries at the charity house. The items included 18 cartons of liquid milk, 30 boxes of milk powder, 30 boxes of powder food, 20 bags of diapers, as well as 30 sets of books and stationery. During the visit, our colleagues at PIL Logistics Vietnam were filled with joy as they shared hugs and played with the children. The team was also deeply moved by the efforts from the home in caring for these less fortunate children. 🙋♂️🙋♀️ Through this visit, the PIL Logistics Vietnam team is inspired to raise greater awareness about the need to extend a helping hand to these children. • 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 🌱🌲 Putting on their Future-Focused lens, our colleagues from the PIL Jakarta office recently planted 500 mangrove trees in collaboration with LindungiHutan, a non-governmental organisation in Indonesia that focuses on forest and environmental conservation by connecting fundraisers with field activists to plant trees! 🚨📉 Mangrove conservation is an urgent crisis in Indonesia. Over the past three decades, the country has lost 40% of its mangrove forests – the fastest rate of mangrove destruction worldwide! Annual carbon dioxide emissions from mangrove deforestation amount to 190 million metric tonnes, which contributes to 42% of Indonesia’s coastal ecosystem greenhouse gas emissions! 🤝🌱 Together with representatives from LindungiHutan and local community members, 18 of our PIL Jakarta colleagues planted 500 mangrove trees along the northern coastline of the Sukawali Village near the country’s capital of Jakarta. This vital coastal area has been facing severe abrasion that threatens the ecosystem and local communities. Through our initiative at Sukawali Village, we make sure that our environmental action delivers long-term, meaningful, and positive impact at where it's needed the most for nature and communities. 🌱🌐 By planting mangroves, our teams are helping to combat coastal erosion, preserve coastal ecosystems, and even helping Indonesia to achieve 25% of its emissions reduction goals! With our efforts in planting mangroves today, we are driving a sustainable future for a greener tomorrow! #PIL #PacificInternationalLines #FutureFocused #Sustainability

These giant cargo are currently on their way to Xiamen, China via our China Calcutta Service (CCS). 🤝👷♂️ With the shipment being time-sensitive, our team from PIL India had to meticulously plan the operations with various teams and stakeholders, including the port authorities, in order to offer a fully-customised solution to meet our customer's requirement! 💪🙋♀️ At PIL, we are committed to “Putting Customers First”. Be it containerised or breakbulk shipment, PIL will not stop “Pushing Boundaries” to help our customers transport whatever cargo they may have! #PIL #PacificInternationalLines #PuttingCustomersFirst #PushingBoundaries #Breakbulk #ProjectCargo #SpecialCargo
