We were honoured to welcome Mr Kiat How Tan, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Digital Development and Information & Ministry of National Development, and Advisor to Kampong Chai Chee Grassroots Organisation, to our Bedok (Uttamram) Medical Centre for his annual flu vaccination. After a brief consultation with our doctor, who gave him a clean bill of health, he received his flu shot with ease. Mr Tan's visit was swift and efficient, and the entire process took less than 20 minutes. #SATACommHealth and our Community team were thrilled to be part of the #HealthyWomenHealthierFamilies event at Bedok Heartbeat on 10 November 2024. We connected with the community, offered valuable health advice, and raised awareness on crucial health topics. From fall risk assessments to discussions on advance care planning, HPV vaccination, and osteoporosis, our team was there to provide a range of services and information to empower participants to make informed decisions about their health. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁: 🙌 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: Our Community Team was onsite to help participants assess their fall risk, providing essential advice on how to stay active and safe. 📝 𝗔𝗖𝗣 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗣𝗔 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰: Our Advance Care Planning & Lasting Power of Attorney sessions saw an excellent turnout, with all slots fully booked, for a meaningful conversation about future healthcare planning. 💉 𝗛𝗣𝗩 𝗩𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: Our booth informed participants on how the HPV vaccine can protect against certain cancers, raising awareness about the long-term health benefits of vaccination. 🩺 𝗢𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸: Dr Ooi, our resident doctor from SATA CommHealth, delivered a talk on osteoporosis in Mandarin, offering attendees essential insights on bone health. 🏅 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: SATA CommHealth was proud to receive a Certificate of Appreciation from DPM Heng Swee Keat for our contribution as a key partner in making the event a success.
