  • Photographer Isabelle Lim's artistic journey began with a leap of faith—joining the Emerging and Professional Artists Programme by ARTDIS (Singapore) Ltd. She found a platform to expand her horizons and a community of mentors made up of industry veterans and fellow artists who offered her invaluable guidance. This pilot initiative, supported by Tote Board through the Enabling Lives Initiative (ELI) Grant - managed by SG Enable - is designed to help emerging artists with disabilities make their transition into professional careers. Isabelle's journey culminated in her showcase at the "Turning Points" exhibition curated by ART:DIS, at the 2024 Singapore Art Week. Her work, which reflects her unique perspective as an artist, resonated deeply with the audience, marking a significant milestone in her burgeoning career. As the focal agency for disability and inclusion in Singapore, SG Enable is committed to helping persons with disabilities reach their full potential. Through initiatives like the ELI Grant, we empower programmes like the Emerging & Professional Artists Programme to create valuable opportunities for artists like Isabelle. Their contributions are not only celebrated but enrich the arts community, bringing fresh, diverse perspectives to the forefront. #InclusiveSociety #EnabledLives
