Our team in Malaysia had the honour of hosting a delegation from the Ministry of Defence Malaysia (MINDEF) at our Malaysia office and Distribution Centre warehouse. The delegation of more than 30 MINDEF personnel was led by YBhg. Brigadier General Dato' Dr. A Halim bin Hj Basari, Director of Pharmacy at the Health Services Division of the Malaysian Armed Forces. Through various insightful presentations and a tour of our automated warehouse, the visit created opportunities to facilitate constructive dialogue and knowledge sharing among the two groups of representatives. Earlier this week, the Zuellig Pharma team and Group CEO John A. Graham took part in Economist Impact’s Future of Health Asia 2024, where more than 300 high-level representatives from the pharmaceutical and medtech industry, academia, governmental institutions and more came together to discuss what the outlook of healthcare looks like for the region. The event provided a valuable opportunity for open dialogue on the state of the healthcare landscape today, and covered several pressing issues including climate action for better health, the future of diagnosis and treatment in the age of AI, and what it takes for Asia’s populations to have continued access to sustainable and affordable healthcare. John was joined by a panel of industry experts during the session ‘A roadmap for health equity and inclusivity in Asia’, where speakers discussed what the main obstacles to equitable and affordable healthcare are, and how the industry can ensure better access to healthcare through solutions such as a robust supply chain, digital solutions, sound policymaking and more public-private partnerships. It was a pleasure to witness various leading innovators, changemakers and representatives from both the public and private sectors come together to discuss how we can navigate the road ahead for the industry, so that patients in Asia can continue to access healthcare solutions when they need them most. We are proud to announce that we have been named the top winner in 'Category 3 – Building' at the recent Cambodia Energy Efficiency Competition (CEE Comp). Organised by Sevea with support from the Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA3), CEE Comp celebrates organisations in Cambodia that have demonstrated exceptional leadership in energy management and sustainability. The awards ceremony was held at the Ministry of Environment on 4 November. "We are honoured to receive this award, which reflects our team's dedication to creating a more sustainable future. This achievement is a testament to our commitment to environmental sustainability and our goal of setting a positive example within our community and industry," said Jan Rask Christensen, Managing Director (Cambodia-Myanmar-Laos). From June 2023 to June 2024, Zuellig Pharma Cambodia implemented a range of initiatives aimed at reducing energy consumption, optimising operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility among our employees. This has resulted in cumulative annual energy savings of over 34,000 kwh and CO2 savings of 20 tons in this period alone. As we celebrate this recognition, Zuellig Pharma remains committed to further enhancing our sustainability practices. Together, we can pave the way for a more energy-efficient and sustainable future for generations to come. #ZuelligPharmaCambodia #EnvironmentalSustainability #EnergyEfficiency

Last week, Zuellig Pharma teams across our markets and offices celebrated World Quality Week, aimed at sharing best practices, recognising achievements and promoting a heightened awareness on the role of quality in upholding the highest standards of integrity and excellence. Aligned with this year’s theme, “Quality: From Compliance to Performance”, the week was filled with a myriad of exciting regional and local staff activities. Kicking off the week was a regional webinar, where Zuellig Pharma’s Group CEO John A. Graham, Vice President of Quality & HSSE Imelda Leslie Rillon, and various senior leaders shared valuable insights on how quality is a shared responsibility and is key to driving organisational performance. This was followed by other engaging regional events, such as the Quality Podcast, featuring panelists from different business units to discuss the importance of quality in their roles, and a quiz tournament that saw market representatives battling it out on quality-related trivia. At a market level, employees throughout the organisation deepened their understanding of quality assurance and management through meaningful celebrations within their local teams, with activities such as personal commitment pledges, workshops, contests and games. All in all, it was an inspiring week-long programme that strengthened our quality culture as an organisation, as we strive for excellence in performance, compliance, and patient outcomes. Zuellig Pharma remains steadfast in upholding the highest standards of quality in alignment with globally-recognised quality management principles, to deliver on our promises to our clients and customers. #WorldQualityWeek #QualityAssurance #QualityCulture #QualityMindset

Zuellig Pharma is proud to have been invited to the GIRP - European Healthcare Distribution Association 9th Supply Chain Conference in Lisbon, Portugal, last month to share our insights on Scope 3 reporting and management. At the conference, our Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Jean-Gaetan Guillemaud discussed the challenges and opportunities of harmonising emissions reporting across the pharmaceutical supply chain. He also highlighted the importance of a unified methodology, which can enhance accountability, improve environmental performance and foster collaboration amongst organisations in the healthcare sector. “Sustainability remains a significant priority for the world’s leading organisations, and companies will now be expected to make their reporting more frequent, rigorous and transparent,” says Jean-Gaetan. “By working together to establish consistent ways of working, and implementing holistic data-sharing platforms, we can address gaps in current sustainability reporting practices and focus on creating a tangible impact for our world.” Ranked by EcoVadis as one of the top 1% of organisations worldwide for our environmental efforts, labour and human rights and sustainable procurement, Zuellig Pharma is committed to driving sustainable healthcare practices that will benefit the industry. #Sustainability #EmissionsReporting #Healthcare #GIRP #MakingHealthcareMoreAccessible
