Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this resort, however, like others have said I definitely would not call this a 5 star resort, but I still would recommend staying here. Let me break down our experience in detail: Location: The resort is about 1 ½ hours from the international airport in Vieux Fort, so it is a bit of drive. I thought the drive was very easy and smooth, but I have heard others complain about the windy roads which I didn’t think were bad at all. If you are prone to car sickness definitely take something before beginning the ride. Once you get to the resort it is situated in a secluded area with a small, but very nice beach. It is close to Caistries and a few towns if you do want to get off resort to do some shopping or something. One downside to the location of the resort location is if you are wanting to visit the Pitons, the most popular excursion, it does take some time to get there. About 40 minutes by boat and 1 ½ hours by car. Excursions are available, but we chose to hang out at the resort as our visit was pretty short. Food: There are a lot of options for food, but I will say I was never really “wow’ed” by anything we had. I liked the buffet as it had a lot to choose from and it was very nice that you could get room service anytime included in the price of your room. You definitely should order room service, our experience was stellar. Everything was made fresh and was way tastier than the same options you would get at the buffet. Overall, you will always find something to eat, but just know the food is what I would call fine. The reservation only restaurants were fine. We tried the Dorada and Hunters. At both, the salmon was by far the star of the show, but other than that I preferred the buffet. The staff at these reservation restaurants were great though! We also tried the food truck for lunch and it was good, nice that everything was fresh made and that you could grab your plate and eat by the pool. The coffee shop is also great, I love their variety of ice cream, so yummy! Drinks: I did not drink any alcohol during my trip, but it looked like they had a nice selection, including higher-end top shelf liquor to choose from, especially if you did the Diamond Club. I did like that the mini bar in your room replenished daily. Oh and in my opinion one of the best things about St. Lucia in general is you can drink the tap water which I love. I hate having to take endless plastic water bottles, so this was something I really appreciated. One thing I wish all resorts would have is a self-serve specialty coffee machine available 24/7. I am an early riser and it’s always frustrating not being able to get a cup of coffee at 5am. Yes, our room did have a coffee machine, but the plug was different than any outlet in our room so I was never able to use it. The Rooms: During our stay we booked an Ocean View Diamond Club Suite and the room was very nice, with an incredible view. It was very nice that you had a bottle of w
