4 Star Hotels in Kaga

We booked this onsen on line ourselves. We have travelled to Japan before and have previously experienced other onsen and accompanying Kaiseki meals. We were a little surprised at the location of the onsen. It was in the suburbs. But maybe that was our fault. The area around did seem to be run down. There were a few sad looking shops around. Some were closed. Maybe because of Covid. Maybe it is not geared for foreign tourists. The building is not modern. It had a faded glory about it. It is large and rambling. Our room /suite had a private outdoor bath. We were actually on the fourth floor. The tap to the outdoor bath would not turn off and was continuously dripping. It was outside so didn't bother us but should have been obvious to staff. Likewise the cladding on one wall was coming off and the tiny garden was scruffy and full of dead leaves. This was disappointing and not up to the standard of other onsen we have stayed at previously. The room however were spotless. All the staff were very good, from check in, to the tea servers, the waiters and breakfast room attendants. The ladies got to choose the colour of the kimono they would wear for the evening, which was a nice touch. The Kaiseki meal was served in the restaurant which had bamboo blinds separating the various tables. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and thought the waiter did an excellent job juggling the tables. The wine was reasonably priced. The breakfast was buffet style and had an enormous choice. Sadly we had to catch an early complimentary shuttle to the station so we just had a quick breakfast, and truthfully we were still full from the meal the night before. We did not partake in the free ice cream or public onsen so can't comment here. The small gift shop was adequate but lacking in nice little souvenirs of the area. So all in all we had a good experience.

We stayed as 3 couples with 2 children in the room. We booked three rooms and we had a great stay at the hotel. The hotel onsen was really good, separated into mens & women - it's swapped over each day so you can experience both. There are also several private onsen that you can book as couples. The breakfast teppanyaki was stunning, several courses and quite a lot of food. The location in the town was really good and you can easily walk around the local area. I recommend driving to the pedestrian suspension bridge over a dam nearby (about 10 mins drive) as it is quite breathtaking to walk across this.

We didn't expect much from the huge hot spring hotel, but it was a hotel that greatly exceeded that expectation. First of all, this hotel is basically run by people who understand the great hotel service spirit. I was satisfied with the hot springs, rooms, food, employee service, etc. The hot springs are large and clean, and we were able to experience the wonderful Japanese hot springs. The room was a Western-Japanese room facing the garden and was a beautifully renovated room. The food was delicious and we were satisfied with the quantity and quality. The employees were well educated and responded comfortably. However, I thought it was necessary to improve the fact that the air conditioner outlet on the ceiling of the corridor was dirty. We were able to discover a high-level hotel that comprehensively understands the hospitality of the hotel. We would like to continue to welcome customers who are looking forward to visiting Japanese hot springs and services.　巨大温泉ホテルには、あまり期待して居ませんでしたが、その期待を大きく超えたホテルでした。まず基本的に素晴らしい素材を持っている事です。温泉、部屋、料理、従業員対応サービス等々どれを取っても満足行くものでした。温泉は広く清潔感があり素晴らしい温泉を体験する事が出来ました。部屋は洋和室内庭向き部屋で、綺麗にリホームされている部屋でした。料理も美味しく、量質共に満足でした。従業員も良く教育がされており気持ちの良い対応をしてくれました。　ただし、廊下天井のエアコン吹き出し口が汚れていた点が要改善と思いました。　総合的にホテルのホスピタリティをよく理解しているレベルの高いホテルを発見する事が出来ました。古くなった箇所を修繕しながら、温泉を楽しみに訪問する顧客を迎えてもらいたいと思います。

I went with my daughter and wife to make a reservation for 4 adults and 1 room. Even if I looked around, I had the impression that many people were visiting in ２ generation / ３ generation. Perhaps because of the earthquake and the accommodation discount that will start in the future, there were few people this time and I was able to spend a relaxing time. [Bath] This is the place to fully enjoy the hot springs. ３ There are two large communal baths and you will never get tired of it. Every bathtub is a hot spring, but there are a bathtub that flows directly from the source, a bathtub of the source, and a bathtub in the hot spring water. The hanging bathtub is not big in the kettle bath (Goemon bath). It is recommended if there is a timing to put it in. The towel is a style to bring to the public bath, but even if the room was wet, I could change it many times (bath towels are also OK). Lotion water, milk, basic cosmetics for men, etc. are available in the large communal bath and in the room. There was no cotton swab in the room, but it was in the large communal bath. You can go empty-handed. [Room] My house didn't choose a very high plan, but it was still a room with a wide 々. The quality of futons, pillows, sofas and cushions was also excellent. The tatami mats were beautiful because they were renewed. The TV in the room has an HDMI terminal, so you can enjoy the video distribution in the room by bringing a Fire stick. [In-house service] There are many services that guests can enjoy, such as sweets and free drinks. Also, the hall had a good scent everywhere, and the air was always clean and I felt like taking a deep breath. [Meals] Supper and breakfast were full when I could see them little by little, and they were all delicious. The seasonal feeling and local color were well considered, and the freshness of the ingredients was outstanding. Mr. Nakai's hospitality is also perfect. I felt that he was a veteran who worked for a long time. In the summer, you can also enjoy a pool with a large waterslide. There is ”Yunokuni no Mori” nearby, and it's fun when there is no pool. It was an inn that felt like a hot spring resort, and I was able to enjoy a fun extraordinary life, and if the budget allows, I would like to stay for 2 nights. I am satisfied with everything.

It was a satisfying inn in terms of rooms, hot springs, meals, customer service, cleanliness, etc. In particular, the hot springs have a moist quality that feels like a lotion, and I took the open-air baths in the guest rooms many times. There wasn't anything special about the meal, but I was able to slowly eat warm food in the room, and all of them were delicious. Mr. Nakai's personality was good, and I was able to talk happily, and he was able to deal with allergies that I had told him in advance. It was good that I could move barefoot inside the inn without slippers. Also, I was grateful that the check-in time was 13:00 and I was able to stay until 12:00 the next day, so I was able to relax very slowly. Yamashiro Onsen itself is a small hot spring town, but this inn was a very comfortable time and space.

Probably due to the fact that it is at the so called countryside, price is good. It is quite a drive to the hotel. I arrived about 9pm and it was such a dark drive right into the hotel. A local was driving, if not it would have been quite scary. Not so sure if the location is convenient for the usual traveller. I was booked this hotel by my business counterpart for convenience and supposedly close proximity to the factory. Room is big and spacious. I had 2 queen sized bed with a table and 2 chairs. Not typical of japanese hotels. Room looks old style but clean. Facial wash, body cloth (for scrubbing) etc was provided. They have a natural indoor and outdoor onsen. And a bath that comes with it where everyone just showers together. There is also a dressing area where lotion and moisturiser for the face are provided in the women's onsen. Hair dryer too. Not sure about the men's. There's a vending machine area with drinks and cup noodles and also the toy egg turning machines. Breakfast is at level 1 restaurant, Japanese breakfast, served buffet style.

It was 7500 yen with two meals, which was very cheap compared to other Oedo Onsen. The room rank is even cheaper (7,000 yen) for a Western-style room, but as far as I can see from the photos, the quality makes me wonder, ”What is this room?” It takes more than 20 minutes on foot from Kaga Onsen Station, and it's probably like crossing fields, so it's pitch black at night. We made a reservation in advance for the shuttle bus, which runs three times a day, and arrived at 5:30 pm. I will be waiting for you at the station! There was a person who complained about it, but he quickly found it and brought it to me promptly, so I had a good impression. Although the building is old when you arrive, the entrance is quite spacious and has a good impression. The tatami room is on the Shibayamagata side, and the scenery is pretty good. However, what is quite disappointing is that the walls and ceiling are extremely thin, and the sound of people walking on the upper floor echoes, and you can hear the neighbors' snoring, conversations, and even farts. This lowered the tension quite a bit. If it's not a corner room, the sound will go through. The meal is a standard buffet, but compared to other Oedo Onsen Monogatari menus, the amount of carbohydrates is overwhelmingly higher, and I wondered if this was the secret to the low price. Furthermore, the impression is that there are plenty of fish dishes, but the quality of the fish is a little poor, and it is very greasy. Well, there are a lot of local things prepared, and considering the price, I think I'm grateful. The bath here is also a normal circulation filtration type natural hot spring, and there is no gender change, but the indoor bath is quite large and comfortable, and above all, you can enjoy the openness of the open-air bath with a view of Shibayama Lagoon that spreads between your eyes. Really liked it. Since it is open to the public, you can often see locals with their own toiletries. It's a testament to its popularity. The double room is about 10 square meters, and the room is old-fashioned, and the table and chairs are sadly badly finished, so I can't recommend it, but if you go from a twin room to a Japanese-style room, the view of the room is worth the price, and you can get 2 for 7000 yen. I feel that the cost performance is quite good considering that you can enjoy the open-air bath with a meal, that scenery, and the free shuttle from the station. Recommended for people who don't mind the sound and want to pursue cost performance. Not suitable for those looking for even a little luxury.

Situated in Kaga, 32 km from Eiheiji Temple, Araya Totoan features accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a restaurant. The property is set 38 km from Phoenix Plaza, 38 km from Fukui International Activities Plaza and 44 km from Fukui Prefecture Industrial Hall. Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, the non-smoking hotel has a hot spring bath. The hotel will provide guests with air-conditioned rooms offering a wardrobe, a kettle, a fridge, a safety deposit box, a flat-screen TV and a shared bathroom with a bidet. At Araya Totoan rooms are equipped with bed linen and towels. Guests at the accommodation can enjoy an Asian breakfast. Kanazawa Castle is 50 km from Araya Totoan, while Kenrokuen Garden is 50 km from the property. Komatsu Airport is 13 km away.

Relax stay. Love it.

The appearance is old, but the lobby and the room do not feel so old. Mr. Nakai looks like a relative's aunt, and it feels just right without being too much. White rice is delicious for meals anyway. He put plenty of it in the ohitsu and was willing to bring me a refill. The side dishes were of course delicious, but the white rice was delicious anyway. The large communal bath is normal. The hot water is hot. There was no smell of karki and my skin became smooth. I am very grateful that the private bath can be used for free the next morning. There were 3 types of private baths, but 2 types were able to take a bath. I was able to use the table tennis table for free, so I enjoyed it with my children. The books from the library on the second floor were brought into the room, and the children who liked books were overjoyed. Impression that there are many books for adults. We never went out until check-out, but when we looked at the lobby the next morning, it was raining, so there were boots for lending. I also prepared for children, and I thought it was a thankful service. When I returned, Mr. Nakai went out to see me off to the parking lot and waved until I couldn't see the car. It's not a luxury inn, but you can enjoy the hot springs at a reasonable price. Not suitable for those who expect Mr. Nakai's generous service. It was the best service content for my house.
