Excellent accommodation! Especially with a short minute walk to St James's Park. This was my 3rd time travelling to Newcastle and I've stayed with the Premier Inn all 3 times

The new rooms are a nice step up. Well soundproofed from the street below. Even water in the fridge & the pod machine were a delight to use. Being an old fool I had a fall, the staff went well beyond anything I could expect to support us. It is nicely situated very close to the centre of Newcastle with easy access to theatres & concert venues. We had planned on coming by train, but ended up in our car, the local Q-park is close at hand & a decent discount code from Premier helped discount the price. We are already planning to book again next year - this hotel is going to be our top choice, reasonable price, good location, nice food & fantastic staff

The location of this hotel is brilliant, so close to everything we wanted; the train station, St. James Park so we could watch the match and Newcastle town centre for afterwards. The staff were excellent, so welcoming and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean.

Disappointed. The plumbing was noisy off and on but the room was comfy as usual, however the dining was not good. I had a steak which was mostly grisle and tough, I asked for it medium well but it came medium, the chips were soggy. I complained and they knocked off the meal but would have preferred a decent steak. Beware Newcastle seems to be closed on a Monday evening compared to when I lived there.

Normally five star, clean and welcoming. Don't know what happened this morning but the chef was grumpy at breakfast banging about and served the hot breakfast half hour late and not a care in the world about the guests and moaned about her start time through out. Spoke to another member of staff, but no explanation given.

The hotel is superb. It's situated in the middle of the city and is within walking distance of all the attractions. The checkin was smooth, with Alex helping us out. The rooms are well furnished. The hotel has a restaurant and bar. The front desk staff are welcoming and helpful.

Stayed at this hotel for one night. Room was basic but exactly what you would expect from a chain hotel. My only problem was the extractor fan it was very loud and could hear it from outside the room. When I first went to alert staff they said that it would go off after 15 minutes. After an hour it was still going off so at 1am I had to go back down to reception to ask for them to sort it. The man on reception was helpful but he was the only one on reception as his two other colleagues had disappeared so had to wait for them to return. The problem was fixed within 2 minutes and they realised there was a fault with the fan. I did make it clear I had complained but the original person I spoke to didn’t seem to care.He apologised which he didn’t have to as it wasn’t his fault

Very poor selection at dinner. Had paid for the meal day for 6 adults. Very slow and plates and cutlery not clean in a number of occasions. The breakfast however was fantastic. Also t he staff wherever helpful and friendly. Nothing too much effort. The rooms however were dirty and looked like they had t been hoovered in some time. There was rust in the soap dispensers, no toilet brush and sink dirty

I always choose this Premier Inn when I go to Newcastle (which is often). It’s friendly, clean and comfortable. The location couldn’t be better! Very central but I’ve never once had a problem with noise. Had a few drinks in the bar before heading out to a lovely Tapas restaurant in Heaton. Breakfast was your typical Premier Inn one which sets you up nicely for a days shopping or sight seeing in a great city!

Fantastic hotel in a retained art deco building that had features inside too (take the main stairs or you'll miss a design wonder!) close to the shops and where I needed to go for work the following day. Usual premier inn room features that I know would be good quality with a comfortable bed.

Stayed fir two nights at this premier Inn and found it very comfortable. The staff are really friendly and the hotel is very clean and secure. The rooms are competitively priced and the location is great. There us no parking at this hotel but there are multi storey car parks close by. The room was OK with the shower and bed both being nice.Great tv and coffee/tea making facilities in room with replenishments available at reception. There is an onsite restaurant here with lots of eateries and pubs around this area. The only downsides for our room were the fan in the bathroom didn't work, the aircon kept switching itself off and you cannot open a window - sealed units.
