Encounter the ultimate aesthetics of our ancestors by West Lake

This should be my third time exploring the "luxurious" residence of Hu Xueyan, a red-topped businessman in the late Qing Dynasty 🏠. This mansion truly bears witness to his legendary life of "success and failure, all in vain." Entering from Zhiyuan, the courtyard is compactly arranged and well-proportioned, fully displaying Hu Xueyan's aesthetic taste 👍🏻. The garden combines the gentle and delicate style of Jiangnan gardens with grandeur, surpassing even the Humble Administrator's Garden in Suzhou, making it an excellent place to appreciate the beauty of late Qing classical gardens. 😊 📸 Sightseeing and photography 🩵 The rockery, pond, pavilions, and towers in Zhiyuan are well-proportioned. It is recommended to wear new Chinese-style clothing or Hanfu. 💙 The Hundred Lions Building and the winding corridor are also excellent choices for photography. 🕒 Best shooting time 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, when the light is relatively soft 📍 Transportation No. 18 Yuanbao Street, Shangcheng District, Hangzhou 🚇 Take Metro Line 5/7 to Jiangcheng Road Station, Exit E, and walk about 600 meters to reach.
