A trip to Kota Kinabalu, a unique experience.

It was easy and worry-free, and I just enjoyed the scenery and took photos. Walking into the mangrove forest was so interesting. The long-tailed monkeys were swaggering on the branches by the river. They were not afraid of people at all and stared at the tourists on the boat as if welcoming everyone. When night fell, wow, many fireflies appeared, flashing like a dream world. Just for the fireflies, this trip was worth it. After returning to the hotel at night, I went to the durian street under the overpass. Various durian varieties dazzled me. Although the cheaper ones were slightly bland, with thin flesh and large cores, it was fun to try something new. On the second day, I started a one-day island tour. Considering the distance and activities, I chose the MANUKAN and SABI island hopping tours. I didn't have to get up early to catch the itinerary, and it was just right to leave at 10 am. The excitement of the banana boat and the high-altitude view of the parasailing were both amazing, especially the parasailing. Snorkeling on the shore, I saw schools of fish swimming around, and there were dense sea urchins on the seabed along the coast of SABI Island. The food on the island was average, so it was best to bring some dry food. Although the sea view near the island was not as blue and deep as the open sea, it was also beautiful and unique. Lying on the beach, enjoying the sea breeze and the sea view, I felt full of happiness. In the evening, I returned to the hotel to take a shower and then went to Shuangtian Seafood to enjoy the food, which was quite satisfying. On the last day, I enjoyed the time slowly. After waking up naturally, I went to Gaya Street to find popular food. Although some were not to my taste, I couldn't miss the dessert of Prince Coconut. The coconut ice cream was delicious and photogenic. The specialty supermarket opposite had a rich selection of souvenirs. It was more cost-effective to buy tea and white coffee at Xintai, where I could enjoy discounts. The streets and alleys of Kota Kinabalu were full of local clothing stores, with colorful buildings and blooming flowers. The Filipino market had a strong local flavor, but it was a bit messy, and the fragrant grilled fish could only be seen. In the evening, I went to Tanjung Aru Beach to enjoy the world-famous sunset. After watching the sunset, I went straight to the airport. I originally wanted to challenge the one-day tour of Mount Kinabalu, but unfortunately, I didn't have enough time, so I could only leave a thought for the next time. The trip to Kota Kinabalu was not amazing everywhere, but the unique customs were unforgettable and worth visiting.
