Zhuhai New Yuanming Palace

The New Yuanming Palace in Zhuhai is a precise 1:1 replica of ten scenic spots from Beijing's Old Summer Palace. It is a 4A-level scenic area. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, the southern side is very flat and open, with the Fuhai Lake covering an area of 80,000 square meters. All the buildings and landscapes in the park are reconstructed according to their original sizes, forming a royal palace-style architectural complex. This place not only features palace buildings but also perfectly integrates the charm of classical royal and Jiangnan classical gardens, resembling a fairyland scattered around Fuhai. The East Lake in the center of the palace is named Fuhai, meaning 'seeking fortune in the sea' as per the legend of Xu Fu. This place was once where emperors and concubines would boat, watch dragon boat races, and enjoy fireworks, serving as the center of water activities in the Old Summer Palace. Visitors can also board the 'Qianlong' boat for a 30-minute ride at $80 per person, with performances to enjoy on board. The entire environment is perfect for taking ancient-style photos, dressed in qipao, Hanfu, Gege costumes, etc., making you feel like you've traveled back in time. There is also an exhibition of ancient treasures in the park, which is great for bringing children to see. Tour direction: Follow the central axis of the palace from the 'Hall of Supreme Harmony' inward, then turn left to the water sculpture. Note that the stone mountain (with the purple roof) is still under maintenance, so you can skip it.
