There were some issues with the room. Floor lamp damaged, wall hvac didn’t work and there was a portable heater plugged into the lamp on the night stand (fire hazard) to heat the room. Saw one dead bug and one live one in the bathroom. Tv remote was dirty- didn’t want to touch it. Staff member was nice and check in was easy.

the lady at the desk was awesome. had a special request for specific needs and she was right on top of it. her choice for me was thoughtful and she went above and beyond and met me at the door with extra service. i only wished I carried cash.

We've stayed at this hotel many times over the years. We live in eastern Iowa and travel frequently to and from Denver. This location is a good half-way point. Previously, we've had good experiences here. However, our stay on Jan 6th/7th of this year was not acceptable. People stay in hotels to get some rest. We arrived at 2:30 am. I requested a late checkout so we could get some sleep. The check-in clerk approved a 1:00 pm checkout. I watched him make a note about it. The ”Do Not Disturb” sign was placed on our door when we entered. It remained there until we left. The maid woke us up at 8:15. She later knocked on our door THREE MORE TIMES for a total of four times while we were trying to sleep. We showed her the Do Not Disturb sign to no effect. She didn't speak English and obviously couldn't read English. I suspect she had never been in a hotel before and had no idea the purpose of the sign. The head housekeeper wasn't helpful at all. When we left, I requested a call from the hotel manager, Lori, but one never came. I don't blame the young maid. It's obvious she hadn't been trained or adequately supervised. If this is way this hotel is managed, what else is going on? My advice is to avoid this place.

My family and I were driving out west and decided to bed down for the night in Kearney. Nothing about the hotel felt like it was the middle of nowhere. High, vaulted ceilings in the lobby welcome you, while an indoor pool awaits to soothe your back. The rooms are nicely laid out with a kitchen, appliances, and a table that can be for dinner or business. Everything was nice and clean and inviting. If there’s one knock on this location, it’s that the beds sagged toward the middle. My partner and I, and the kids for that matter in the other bed, kept sinking into each other. Outside of that, if you’re in among the corn in Kearney, NE, I recommend this hotel highly. Pro tip: the hotel’s gym has a full weight rack. Take advantage of that if you lift.

I must admit, it's probably been 20 years since I've stayed at a Motel 6. I don't know if this is a fluke or the norm these days, but it was a great stay. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Nice TV, fridge, bathroom, bed...at a great price. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The front desk guy was very nice, and the lobby and hallway were nice and clean. No breakfast, but for what you save, you can buy a good breakfast instead of the typical mediocre motel breakfast. Good job, Kearney Motel 6!
