A workshop on Graphene Family Materials (GFM) was arranged this week by the OECD - OCDE Working Party on Manufactured Nanomaterials (WPMN) in Paris. This event featured the notable participation of Mary Gulumian and Damjana Drobne, representatives of ACCORDs Project. This workshop is part of OECD's efforts to promote the safe and sustainable development of nanomaterials and advanced materials, and more information will be available soon. OECD work on nanomaterials includes: -         Developing international testing and quality standards. -         Promoting safer and more sustainable nanomaterials. Mary and Damjana’s involvement underscores ACCORDs Project’s commitment to international collaboration in providing relevant progresses contributing to the safe and sustainable deployment of advanced materials. 🔬 Kerstin Jurkschat from Department of Materials, University of Oxford made a productive stop at BAM in Berlin, bringing together minds (and materials!) to advance ACCORDs' work on 2D nanomaterial characterization. Hosted by Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) WP2 team—Dan Hodoroaba, Jörg Radnik, Loay Madbouly, Paul Mrkwitschka and Robert Schusterbauer—this session was powered by cutting-edge TEM techniques... and, of course, plenty of cake and coffee ☕🍰! 🔬 Exciting progress in ACCORDs Project! 🌟 Our team is working hard on standardising methods for the analysis of advanced materials. Project partners are deeply involved in various Technical Working Areas, focusing on refining accurate and reliable procedures using techniques like SEM-EDX, AFM or XPS  from the #ACCORDs Project portfolio. These methods are being correlated with other techniques that analyse the biological and chemical behaviour of nanomaterials 🧬🔗. All this expertise is being transferred to global standardization committees such as #VAMAS and #ISO, helping to strengthen the use of advanced materials across industries 🌍📏.
