As we close 2024, we’re grateful for expanding partnerships, preparing biological payloads to study the effects of space travel, and taking bold steps toward our terraforming vision. What’s coming in 2025: 11 January: Release of the new book Genesis: The New Beginnings by Bence Mátyás, exploring Mars terraforming through biological transformation and future missions. 15 February: Genesis Space Bioscience Conference at the Marriott Hotel, Budapest – MayaSat-1 research partners presentations. Tickets, including gala dinner options, are still available. MayaSat-1 Mission: Launching our payload to Low Earth Orbit aboard The Exploration Company ’s Mission Possible capsule on SpaceX’s Falcon 9. MayaSat-1 will carry 980 unique biological samples. Once in space, the capsule will complete three orbits before returning to Earth for sample analysis. Future Planning: Building partnerships and preparing for the 2027 mission, offering 2 months of scientific experiments in orbit for our partners. Oly sokszor használtuk eszközeink kapcsán a borászati űrtechnológia kifejezést, hogy bevonzottunk egy valódi űrutazást. Szeretünk kísérletezni, innovatívak lenni, olyan dolgokba kezdeni, amelyek túlmutatnak jelenkori önmagunkon és előrevetítik a jövőt. Így azonnal igent mondtunk, amikor Anett Fenyőfalvi az ORION Space Generation Foundation / ORION Űrnemzedék Alapítvány elnöke felkért minket arra, hogy kísérleti céllal küldjünk szőlőmagokat az űrbe. A misszió célja, hogy előmozdítsa annak megértését, hogy az űr körülményei miként hatnak a biológiai szervezetekre, hozzájárulva ezáltal a tágabb űrbiológiai célokhoz és a jövőbeni űrkolonizáció lehetőségeihez. We had the honor of meeting Bertalan Farkas, Hungary’s first astronaut, who spent 8 days aboard the Salyut 6 space station in 1980. He shared that, alongside material research, he conducted plant microgravity experiments using Oasis. Our CEO, Bence Mátyás presented the MayaSat-1 biological incubator cube and its role in Mission Possible 2025, advancing the The Exploration Company’s vision for space commercialization. The press conference was hosted by ORION Space Generation Foundation / ORION Űrnemzedék Alapítvány our research partner, who contributed a key seeds experiment to MayaSat-1 to enhance our understanding of space’s effects on biological systems.
