The Geneva Conventions form the cornerstone of international humanitarian law.🔖 Yesterday we commemorated the 75th anniversary of their adoption at Slovenské národné múzeum with the opening of the contemporary art exhibition *Dialogues on Humanity*, produced by the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs , Photo Elysée & International Committee of the Red Cross . *** Ženevské dohovory tvoria základ medzinárodného humanitárneho práva 🔖. Včera sme si v Slovenské národné múzeum pripomenuli 75. výročie ich prijatia otvorením výstavy súčasného umenia *Dialógy o ľudskosti*, ktorú pripravili Federal Department of Foreign Affairs , Photo Elysée & International Committee of the Red Cross .

On 24 October we visited the town of Nitra and a unique place for integration of foreigners 🔵 COMIN. The 🇨🇭 Ambassador Peter Nelson met Mr Marek Hattas, Mayor of Nitra and a dedicated team of 🔵COMIN. We had an opportunity to hear and discuss how the City of Nitra deals with the integration of foreigners in cooperation with the Slovenská humanitná rada / Slovak Humanitarian Council, the best example of which is indeed the 🔵 COMIN contact point for foreigners, which has been operating for the third year now.

Last week we welcomed the planning mission aimed to bring the potential Swiss Partners (ZHAW Institut für Umwelt und Natürliche Ressourcen IUNR , Schweizer Pärke / Parcs suisses / Parchi svizzeri ) and the Slovak counterparts (Ministerstvo životného prostredia SR - Ministry of Environment, Ministerstvo investícií, regionálneho rozvoja a informatizácie SR - MIRRI) together in order to discuss the fields of competence and activities from the Swiss partners within the Support Measure "Promoting Sustainable Tourism and Strengthening Biodiversity in protected areas". #secondswisscontribution #zhaw #schweizerpärke

14. októbra sa v Žiline konalo stretnutie zainteresovaných aktérov v rámci procesu predloženia finálnej verzie Švajčiarsko-slovenského programu Zdravie, ktorý bude financovaný z druhého švajčiarskeho príspevku. Stretnutie spojilo široké spektrum partnerov, ktorí priniesli pohľad na tému z rôznych uhlov, regiónov a organizácií. Ďakujeme zúčastneným za ich čas, živú diskusiu 💬 , podnety na zlepšenie návrhu programu a tešíme sa na ďalšie stretnutia a spoluprácu 🇨🇭🤝🇸🇰 . Úradu Žilinského samosprávneho kraja ďakujeme za pohostinnosť. *** On 14 October, a Stakeholders´ consultation took place in Žilina as part of the process of preparing the final submission of the Swiss-Slovak Health Programme, which will be funded by the second Swiss contribution. The meeting brought together a wide range of partners who brought perspectives on the topic from different angles, regions and organisations. We thank the participants for their time, lively discussion, suggestions for improving the programme design and look forward to further meetings and cooperation 🇨🇭🤝🇸🇰 .
