Oxfam's Integrated Community Support Program (ICSP) has established vital veterinary pharmacies in Wadamagoo, providing immediate access to essential veterinary care for pastoral communities. These shops are more than just places to buy medicine; they serve as lifelines for local livestock and the families that depend on them. Thanks to this initiative, approximately 1,000 households now have access to treatment drugs, significantly reducing livestock mortality rates and enhancing food security. Keyse Aden, a local pharmacist, highlights the impact: "Oxfam didn't just set up these pharmacies; they provided us with medicines and tools to succeed. We're not just running a business; we're sustaining a lifeline." This project, funded by Irish Aid and implemented in collaboration with local partner Candlelight, has reached over 32,400 people, empowering communities and building resilience against challenges like drought. #IrishAid #IrishAidWorks #SustainableLivelihoods #OxfamImpact Read more about how local vet shops are transforming lives in rural Somaliland:  https://lnkd.in/dXrDWHrG
