See where a photo was taken using Preview on Mac
If a photo contains GPS information, you can open it in Preview and view the location where it was taken on a world map and a street map.
In the Preview app
on your Mac, open a photo file that you want to check.
Choose Tools > Show Location Info, click the More Info Inspector button
, then click GPS.
A pin indicates the location where the photo was taken on a world map. To view a street map of the photo’s location, click Show in Maps.
Note: The Show Location Info feature is available only for images that contain location information. Otherwise, the command is dimmed.
