Get help for GarageBand on Mac
GarageBand provides several ways for you to get answers to questions, learn about controls and functions while you’re working, and view detailed information about all aspects of the application. You can also view information directly in the application using the Quick Help feature.
In addition to being available from the GarageBand Help menu, GarageBand Help is available online using a web browser.
Quick Help
Get a brief description of windows, controls and other elements of the GarageBand interface without leaving the application or interrupting your workflow. When you open GarageBand, Quick Help appears in yellow bubbles next to the pointer by default. You can also view Quick Help in a movable, floating window, or hide it.
When you place the pointer over the Quick Help button in the control bar, overlays appear with short descriptions of each available working area.
To view Quick Help in a floating window, choose Help > Quick Help Follows Pointer to deselect it.
To hide Quick Help, choose Help > GarageBand Quick Help to deselect it.
To show Quick Help again, choose Help > GarageBand Quick Help again.
GarageBand Help
See detailed information about the GarageBand interface, commands and menus, and step-by-step instructions for creating GarageBand projects and for accomplishing specific tasks.
