Change people’s pictures used in Mail
Mail can show a picture for you and other people in messages, depending on the pictures that are available. The pictures are shown only to you; they aren’t sent with your messages.
Tip: To show pictures in the message list, choose Mail > Preferences, click Viewing, then select “Show contact photos in the message list.”
Pictures are shown if they’re available in either of these locations:
The Contacts app. You can add or change pictures for yourself and others in Contacts.
Users & Groups preferences. You can change the picture used for your user account.
