🌎 The Environmental Economics Unit (#e2u) recently delivered a workshop to all public hospitals under the Department of Health regarding greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) from hospitals.   Participants were introduced to (i) existing evidence on the environmental, health, and economic impacts of GHG emissions, (ii) quantitative methods to measure GHG emissions from hospitals, (iii) the Thai Hospitals Emission Management System (#THEMS) which will capture and report annual GHG emissions from Thai hospitals, and (iv) the #CarbonQuest game who aims to educate the general public on their individual carbon footprint. 🌱   💡 Play the Carbon Quest game: https://lnkd.in/gBApmmGJ   Stay tuned for more on THEMS and get in touch with our team via envecon@hitap.net! ⚕️ 📈 Early HTA: A Guide for Developing Pulmonary Tuberculosis Cost-Effective Tests Fitting the Healthcare Needs ℹ️ Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) and represents a significant global health concern. Infectious agents can be easily spread through respiratory droplets, and TB patients face a significant risk of mortality. 📍 The traditional sputum-based TB screening method is time-consuming, and sensitive populations may be unable to produce sputum for TB screening. Non-sputum-based TB assays can address this issue.
