The two-day event at Bett Asia 2024 concluded with insightful discussions on the future of education and technology. From hosting the K12 Stream session to being a panelist on “Teaching and Technology: Skilling Up,” the sessions were packed with impactful conversations. Day one focused on “Powering up education, driving positive change through AI and technological advancements,” covering: 1️⃣ Teacher Professional Development through Online Communities – Empowering educators to connect and grow. 2️⃣ Effective and Responsible AI in Education – Thoughtful, ethical AI integration to enhance learning. 3️⃣ Prioritising Student Well-being – Addressing mental health and well-being alongside academics. 4️⃣ Adapting Assessment in the AI Era – Embracing authentic, formative assessment for modern skills. 5️⃣ Developing Advanced Skills – Nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and social-emotional skills in an AI-driven world. On day two, the panel on “Teaching and Technology: Skilling Up” covered teacher agency, fostering school learning culture, lifelong learning for educators, and supportive policies for professional development. I’m really happy to have reconnected with my network and friends, as well as met so many new, inspiring people. 🎉 Another year, another celebration of education innovation in Thailand! 🇹🇭 FutureEd Fest 2024 took place on October 5th at the Grand Postal Building in Bangkok, Thailand. 📚 With the theme of "EduInnovate - Crafting the Future of Learning", FutureEd Fest served as a platform for celebrating exisiting innovators from all parts of the education sector, as well as inspiring others who want to start improving the Thai education system themselves. Panel discussions, keynote speeches, workshops, exhibitions, a Maker Fest, pitching awards and much more were included, and over 2,000 people attended, more than double the number of last year's inaugural FutureEd Fest! 🙏 We wish to thank all orgaizations and education specialists who participated in this event from both Thailand and abroad, incuding the Equitable Education Fund, Octava Foundation, TEP (Thailand Education Partnership), Mavie Ungco from Teach for the Philippines, Teach For Thailand, Melvin Magsayo from the Center for Integrated STEM Education and Pietro Borsano!
