When there are no visible signs of violence, how can healthcare workers help a child survivor of abuse? Trained healthcare workers like Ms. Chan Sophea play a vital role in breaking the cycle of violence against children, offering care and support to child survivors of violence and sexual abuse. By equipping them with the right tools and connecting healthcare with child protection services, we can ensure every child receives the help they need to heal. 💙 #Act16Days #16Days2024 UNICEF Cambodia Marianna Garofalo

Happy International Day of Persons with Disabilities! 💙 How do we create a world where every child can thrive? At Qisehua Kindergarten in China, where nearly 15% of the children have special needs, inclusion is transforming lives. Take five-year-old Yuxin, who with the support of her teachers and classmates, is discovering her love for art, making friends, and building confidence. Her journey shows the power of starting inclusion early. Yet globally, millions of children with disabilities remain out of school, held back by stigma and barriers. In China, only half of the five million children with disabilities are in mainstream schools. UNICEF, alongside the Ministry of Education and partners, is working to change this— by training teachers, empowering parents, and fostering inclusive classrooms. When we invest in inclusion, we unlock endless potential—for children and for communities. 💙 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ekesPGnw #IDPD Megan Tucker Bunly Meas

For those with disabilities in conflict-affected Myanmar, that chance is often overshadowed by barriers—barriers to safety, services, and support. Read June Kunugi’s reflections on her recent visit to Dala, where she met families benefiting from UNICEF’s integrated support programme – a lifeline for children with disabilities and their families. 👉 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eA2Wkqdp #IDPD #IDPD2024 Eliana Drakopoulos Saw Wai Moe Megan Tucker Myo-Zin Nyunt Kelly Ashton

Asia is not often associated with the practice of female genital mutilation. And yet, over 80 million girls in Asia have endured this devastating practice. Each of these lives is a life marred by the physical and psychological damage caused by FGM. 💔 The shroud of secrecy on this devastating practice must be lifted. Every girl deserves to live without fear and free from violence. #Act16Days #16Days2024 #EndFGM #HerVoiceMatters Shreyasi Jha Younghwa Choi Ticiana Garcia-Tapia

In the heart of Siem Reap, a group of UNICEF partners and supporters joined us on a journey that went beyond words and numbers. They walked alongside us, experiencing firsthand what it means to uphold every child’s right to safety, health, and a brighter future. Together, we ventured into communities where children face daily struggles, but where hope is alive and thriving through our joint efforts. It’s through these powerful partnerships with various public and private organizations, foundations, and supporters that we can extend our reach to the most vulnerable children, breaking barriers to ensure that every child has a chance to thrive. 💙 Here’s a look at how, together, we’re turning the tide and creating lasting change #ForEveryChild. 👉 Here is how you can also become part of this journey: https://lnkd.in/gAqxsvRW Berli Jucker Public Company Limited (BJC) Les Mills New Zealand Les Mills International Central Group Sunway Group UNICEF Cambodia UNICEF Thailand UNICEF China Mera Boulus Grozier Carmen Gonzalez Ortiz Juan Ignacio Calvo Natnapin Sarathulsingh Hadrien Bonnaud Suree Chooratchareon Jo Perkins Ms. Yue Qun Mr. Hu Jianhai Mr. Wen RuiChao Ms Hongmei
