How to make a trip to Neuschwanstein Castle more fruitful?

#2024mapped A Germany trip would not be complete without a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle. But with it being 2hr drive away from Munich (and not as well-connected by train compared to other towns in Bavarian region), it’s natural to try to throw in some other places into the itinerary. So there I went. Pilgrimage Church of Wies (Wieskirche) makes the best attraction to do a detour to. In fact the extra time incurred from the detour is less than 10mins, which gives no reason for one not to drop by on a road trip. Another place that I eventually decided to head to is Linderhof Palace. Tho March is certainly not the best season to go to (because the garden is under maintenance), the overall layout of the place is still impressive.
