Panaji: Chief minister
Pramod Sawant on Monday assured that action will be taken against “those who interfere” and “take law in their own hands” over the beef issue, and said that state govt’s priority remains the provision of hygienic beef.
“We have always emphasised the need to provide hygienic beef at the Goa Meat Complex. This is non-negotiable,” Sawant said. “We have stressed to meat traders that the beef sold in Goa should meet the highest standards of hygiene. However, if anyone tries to interfere with them and take the law into their own hands, govt will take strict action. On our part, our priority remains the provision of hygienic beef to Goans,” he said.
