'Baby John' was off to a decent start on day 1 at the box office, however, the
Varun Dhawan starrer seemed to have taken a deep dive on its second day. According to reports, the film began its box office run earning an estimated Rs 11.25 crore India net on the Christmas holiday.
However, according to Sacnilk, the collections fell drastically on day 2, Thursday, with the film raking in an early estimated collection of just Rs 4.5 crore. The film had an Hindi occupancy of just around 11.09%.

As the film opened in theatres on Wednesday, it still has the weekend to catch up on its numbers. If it doesnt see an upward trend, then the film may just wrap up with a lifetime collection of Rs 50 crore. Reports state that the film was made made on an overall budget of Rs 160 crores all inclusive of Prints and advertising cost. Keeping its budget in mind, Baby John needs to earn at least Rs 190-200 crore to be considered a successful venture at the box office.

Allu Arjun blockbuster 'Pushpa 2', which emerged on the top of the Indian box office on Thursday with a collection of Rs 9.6 crore. The film managed to earn these numbers even on its 22nd day.
The film also faces some competition from the live-action Disney film 'Mufasa: The Lion King'.
Directed by Kalees, the Hindi action film stars Dhawan in the dual roles of police inspector Satya Verma and John, his alter ego. The movie is the Hindi remake of the 2016 Tamil film "Theri", directed by Atlee and starring Vijay in the lead.
