Khushi Kapoor made her debut with 'The Archies' which was directed by Zoya Akhtar but the film had released on OTT. Now she's set to make her theatrical debut with 'Loveyapa' opposite Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan. Incidentally, Junaid also made his OTT debut with 'Maharaj' and this is his first theatrical now. Aamir has now said that Khushi has similar energy like her mom Sridevi and he was reminded of her.
Aamir said while sharing his first thoughts about the film, "I have watched the rough cut. I liked this film. It is very entertaining. The way our lives have turned out these days due to cell phones and the interesting things that happen in our life due to this have been shown here. All the actors have done a good job. When I watched the film and saw Khushi (Kapoor), I felt that I was watching Sridevi. Her energy was there, I could see. I am a huge fan of Sridevi."
He further added that he's been a huge fan of the 'Mr India' actress. "I am a very big fan of Sridevi. I always wanted to work with her. She was a brilliant artist. She always kept her talent latent when the camera was off. As soon as the camera starts rolling, she starts showing her true talent. She used to exude an energy which I found to be similar to Khushi Kapoor's performance," he added.
'Loveyapa' is based on the Tamil movie, 'Love Today' according to reports. Recently, the first song of the film 'Loveyapa Ho Gaya' was launched and it got mixed reviews from the internet. While some thought it was a lot of fun, many thought it was cringe. The film is set to release on February 7, 2025 and is directed by Advait Chandan who made 'Laal Singh Chaddha'.
