'Mistakes don't mean guilt,' says Diddy's mother amid allegations

Sean "Diddy" Combs’ mother, Janice Combs, has spoken out in defence of her son as he faces serious charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and multiple allegations of sexual assault. In a statement shared with *Page Six*, Janice expressed her heartbreak over the accusations, claiming that her son was being judged unfairly.
“It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies,” she stated, adding that her son deserves his day in court to prove his innocence.Janice also alluded to past incidents, acknowledging that Diddy has made mistakes, but maintained that these do not justify the current allegations against him.
Diddy's legal team confirmed the authenticity of Janice's statement, which referenced surveillance footage from 2016 showing him allegedly assaulting ex-girlfriend Cassie. Despite this, Janice defended her son, saying that past mistakes do not equate to guilt in the present charges. She suggested that Diddy's decision to settle Cassie's lawsuit in 2023 had been misinterpreted as an admission of guilt by authorities.
Meanwhile, attorney Tony Buzbee has revealed that 120 people, including minors, have come forward with sexual misconduct claims against Diddy. The allegations span from 1991 to the present, with Buzbee’s clients set to file lawsuits in New York and Los Angeles. Buzbee described the alleged abuses as occurring at events where victims were drugged and exploited.
Combs’ lawyer, Erica Wolff, denied all allegations, describing the claims as false and defamatory. She stated that Diddy is looking forward to clearing his name in court.
