Unfold is back with a twist to end the year! On December 12th at ATÖLYE Istanbul, in collaboration with ATÖLYE Architecture & XXI Architecture I Design I Art, we’re kicking things off with a hands-on workshop, followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion. Together, we’ll explore the question: How can a game help us reimagine our cities? *Workshop: City Making 101 📅 Time: 5:00 PM Participants will play City Making 101, a newly published game designed to empower everyone to engage in the design of their cities. This interactive experience combines role-playing with practical insights, allowing players to co-imagine, debate, and build consensus on design guidelines for public space projects. In October, ATÖLYE worked with the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) to design and facilitate the Second Fifty Years Youth Workshop. This workshop marked a significant milestone in IKSV’s journey, bringing together dynamic young voices to envision the future of arts and culture in Istanbul. As the strategic designers and facilitators, ATÖLYE crafted and facilitated a custom workshop tailored to strategic needs, utilizing tools like spiral journaling and world café discussions. These frameworks encouraged deep collaboration and generated actionable insights into: 👉 The evolving needs and expectations of young cultural audiences in Istanbul. 👉 Opportunities for İKSV to innovate while building on its legacy. 👉 Key global trends shaping the arts and culture sector, as the youth views it. The insights from this session will help İKSV set a strategic course for the next fifty years, ensuring it remains a leader in cultural innovation and impact.
