Big Milestone Alert! Today marks the beginning of an exciting 10-day UCS training in Kibaha, a significant step in empowering community health efforts in Pwani! Since 2019, we've worked closely with Community Health Workers (CHWs), ADDOs, and Health Facilities (HFs), who have made tremendous progress with the #AfyaTek system, now officially handed over to the government. With the support of the Wizara ya Afya Tanzania, PO-RALG, UCS national trainers, and teams from #ApothekerTz, D-tree and Kibaha Town Council, we are guiding these groups through the transition to UCS. This training will help strengthen the trilateral linkage between CHWs, ADDOs, and HFs, ensuring even greater community health impact. Improving Community Health through Integration! We're excited to share the next step in the Afya-Tek program: integrating Afya-Tek with the national Unified Community System (UCS) to streamline beneficiary services. By linking ADDOs directly through UCS, we’re enhancing access and efficiency for Community Health Workers (CHWs), Accredited Drug Dispensing Outlets (ADDOs), and Health Facilities (HFs). This makes us the first to integrate private drug shops into the national care pathway!! Currently in Morogoro, we’re holding Training of Trainers sessions to empower national trainers who will, in turn, train the end-users of this pivotal system.
