The The Wall Street Journal's recent coverage of Ukrainian companies boosting the defense drone field is peerless. According to officials, Ukraine produced well over 1 million small, explosive aerial craft by 2024. Sine.Engineering, instead of looking for a silver bullet, is one of the companies taking on the challenges piece by piece — looking for the fastest, simplest, and most cost-effective solutions to ease the burden on pilots. For example, instead of replacing drone pilots, Sine aims to help them by lowering the skill level required to operate a drone. Sine.Engineering, well done!

We are delighted to announce a new partnership with D3, an early-stage fund for techno-democracy. Since summer 2023 it funded over 15 defense tech companies from Ukraine and Allied countries. In December, we hosted a workshop on defense-specific communications for startups in the fund’s portfolio. The topics covered ranged from understanding when it’s the right time to go public to the cornerstones of any communications effort.
